4 days and 5 nights in the Gatlinburg, TN area and Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
**Not included in workshop fee: Hotel, meals, and transportation. Workshop will provide water and some snacks. **
Itinerary: Oct 23 - 28, 2022 We are proud to be an Authorized Permittee of the National Park Service
Due to Covid we will be following whatever CDC guidelines while indoors for our computer time that are in affect at the time of the workshop. Also some meals may be ordered and eaten in the hotel for less public interaction. Fly into Knoxville and then drive to Gatlinburg and check in to the Greystone Lodge on the River, 559 Parkway, Gatlinburg, Tennessee 37738. Plan to arrive at the hotel by 2:00pm Sunday for check-in, introductions and quick trip to Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail. Any last minute changes of the itinerary will be discussed and Monday morning departure time will be set to allow us time to drive to Smoky Mountain National Park and arrive before sunrise. We need students with cars to carpool with each other. We want to keep the number of cars carrying students to a maximum of three, plus the instructors vehicle. Some areas will be tricky to keep all four cars together. Carpool assignments will be made before we arrive if possible. Let us know if you are driving to Tennessee or renting a car once you arrive so we can determine who will be driving each day and who will ride with you. Carpooling from Knoxville Airport will help everyone get here on time and keep your costs down by sharing that car expense.
